* THE ORIGIN:

The OM 2517 rice variety is selected from the OM1325 / OMCS94 hybrid.
Recognized in accordance with Decision No. 2182 QD / BNN-KHCN dated 29 July 2004

* BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:

OM 2517 is a rice cultivar that can be cultivated in both seasons. The growing time in Dong Xuan Tea (Southern provinces) is 90-95 days.

Seeds are long, bright yellow.

Average grain length: 7.30 mm.

Long grain rice, less silver belly.

Amylose content (%): 25.0.

Average yield: 45 – 50 quintals / ha, high can reach: 60 – 80 quintals / ha.

The ability to resist quite shed.

Is a variety that is resistant to blast.

Mild infection with Zebra disease. Resistant to brown backed rice plant hopper.

* MARKETING REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

It is a wide adaptive variety suitable for both winter-spring and summer-autumn crops,

Easy to cultivate, suitable for Long Xuyen Quadrangle and West Hau River.

Implant 2-3 teeth / clump, implant density 50 – 55 clusters / m2,
